Absolutely amazing story. Personal stories are my favorite part of this site. Thanks so much for sharing. There's hope for those with believing mates and you're proof. I'm so thankful that my wife came out of the organization when I did, but it's nice to see that it can work out regardless.

    Mrs Obfuscate,

Welcome to the better part of your life. Thank you for posting. Stories like yours make me hope that one day I will see my family walking away from this noxious cult

mrsObfuscate & lost and adrift... so glad to have you both here, and thank Simon for having this forum, so many have found info, friends, reality and solace! After WT, there is such a need to make sense of realitu, and there are soo many people here with different expeinces that can relate.... So glad to have you here!

I also am glad to hear that practicing JW's were able to see the hypocrisy (I have read other sites, where people make excuses) by viewing the ARC.... I have hope for relatives of mine now...

    Thank you both for posting

    Cha Ching!

PS.... thx mrsObfuscate for providing the link!

PS.... lost and adrift... enjoy your new life with your fiance! Never let them take that joy from you! Hugs.... I know it's hard to lose children, here's hoping they shall some day wake up!

Hey, obfuscate! When I read the opening post, I was hoping you would show up and was planning on asking mrsObfuscate to ask you to join. Welcome to both of you.

obfuscate - I appreciate your concern for truth, logic, critical thinking, etc. It takes a certain kind of person to break free from JWdom - one who values truth and has guts.

mrsObfuscate - I well know the shock of realizing that something you dedicated a lot of your life to is not what you thought it was.

I hope you both hang around. I think the near future is going to be really interesting for those of us who were affected by JWdom.

Mrs Obfuscate, thanks for your great post so relatable and I hope all goes well at Uni. I enrolled in Uni post cult (very mature aged student)and the biggest advantage for me is learning to think critically for the first time. And knowledge is power. Welcome to the real world!

    Welcome!

"Rather than rally around me to help me to continue, I was avoided, even by friends I’d had for 20 odd years. "

This is the saddest reality of it all. You have this false perception that your Brothers and sisters will be there for you. It is amazing how quickly they can erase you from their lives. It's disturbing.

We are so glad you escaped with your family. We feel the same way you mentioned....never happier! Keep up the good work and enjoy your new freedom. Life if good!

    Mrs Ob .

Thank you for your post , it will be encouraging for many I`m sure .As the saying goes "The world is now your Oyster " whatever that really means ,

I`m curious about the ARC being the " straw that broke the camels back" so to speak .Are you an Aussie ?

If not where did you hear about the ARC ?

I`m just wondering how far reaching this commission goes , has it really got world wide coverage ? on a large scale .?

It`s excellent news if it has .

I`m an ozzie in East Gippsland.Vic.

Oh , and welcome to the board I look forward to more gems from you and your hubby .
