Welcome, mrsObfuscate! I found your experience encouraging. I'm glad the ARC helped educate a JW and helped wake them up. -

Oh I feel so happy for you Mrs obfuscate and Mr obfuscate. I always feel so sad for the couples on here that have broken up because of the organization. A huge hug to the both of you for your marriage and love outlasting the borg . Now you can rejoice that you have the shared experience of surviving this cult. -

There always has to be a catalyst that makes one want to go down that road and although it is the apostasy that is the death blow for most, quite often the steps up to it isn't. I have never heard of anyone waking up one day looking out the window and saying " Gee it's a lovely day to become an apostate. Usually these small steps can be in the form of harsh treatment, or a question that never gets answered. Mine was jesus dying on a cross, and the success of jw marriages. Couldn't find any reasonable answers in the mags so punched it into Google and here I am. -

Welcome and thanks for sharing! Your a great writer it was a pleasure reading your story.
I found that I knew very little about the religion I had been a part of for the last 20 years of my life...
Well that was standard back in the day when information was controlled. It's all changing now and everything nasty about the WTBTS...all their stupidity and lies, are there to be seen.
I think any bible study or BS study who goes on line to see who and what the JW's are will start to think twice about getting involved.
