But I understood you, mon ami!
Merci!
I believed I offered to go one time. :)
Coco: Mais oui! There's a spare seat.
Diana (honey): Yes, of course!Offer still open.
This is a serious offer. I'm taking the car anyway, so no cost for a passenger. No strings.
My friend lives in a small town - La Massana. When I stay with him I step out in the morning for a cigarette and there's a small cafe - espresso (and some mornings a calvados with it) and watch the cable car go up over the main street.
It's a ski place in the winter - in summer it's mountain biking, hiking and that sort of stuff.
Good luck Joe. I hope you enjoy the trip, seat full or not.
Slidin Fast:
Thanks. It will be a good trip, whatever.
Cheers.

You're absolutely right. I enjoy driving, especially along the back roads in France. The car is comfortable (a Jag) and the time is my own.
Actually, I enjoy being on my own (esp. after being married to my Filipina ex-wife #2) and appreciate the freedom to go where and when I want.
Joe I was single for 38 years. What attracted me to my husband when we were dating (one of the things) was that we traveled together for 2 weeks and went very smoothly. We still travel together after 25 years, leaving to go out to the US West and visit a few national parks....including dinosaur bones.
A policy that WT strongly encourages the rank and file when on vacation is to incorporate 'seek the Kingdom first' by visiting JW Branches, Kingdom Halls and to go out in field service with the locals and come back with 'Greetings' from all the stops you've made along the way (gag then hurl).
Joe, just be glad you get to avoid all that!
Traveling is more fun with another person, but it still sounds like a pretty fun trip. I just got back from a trip to the East Cost and it was anything but fun. I was helping out a family member in the Baltimore area and you couldn't pay me to live there. Horribly hot and humid and the mosquitoes are out of control, just call me itchy. I am so glad to be back to mild San Francisco bay area weather.
