By there fruits: The JW's very rarely encourage forgiveness

They do want people to forgive--that is, if the offender went out of their way to deliberately ruin your life. Then you must forgive or you will not receive forgiveness from joke-hova for the mistakes you make. But, if you go against a doctrine in the most trivial way or make a simple mistake (and possibly panic and make another mistake because of that), there is none. In the instance of a stupid mistake where the errant one panics and makes another mistake, forgiving the whole thing can usually settle the whole thing.

But, when someone deliberately sets out to ruin your life, and joke-hova demands you forgive them, that only encourages them to continue doing that. It encourages everyone and their dog to continue abusing you on purpose, and it encourages them to abuse others. Here, forgiveness is a weakness.

    Thanks All for you comments,

i do believe she has a lot of traits of a Narcissist, she has always been an unattached person. Which i do believe is a thing that is instilled in the JDUBS that are born in. that's why most born in can't break away. the ones that do are in touch with their authentic person.

Right now i am seeing my marriage slowly crumble. all because i choose not to follow a religion. and all the while she acts like it no big deal. just another thing. 28 years down the drain, due to a cult i choose not to follow.

Thanks JW. ORG for destroying my marriage.

    GOINGTHROUGHTHMOTIONS:

I suppose when you have judgmentalism and self-righteousness in many people in a group there are less likely to be the qualities of love and humility. There wouldn’t be much forgiveness either.

But, hypocrites there expect the other guy to extend forgiveness. It’s really sick because you have people there thinking they can do just about anything and be forgiven.

Well, I’ll never forgive the hypocrisy of the religion. Just look at all the lives they ruined with lies, faulty/changed doctrines and the bad attitudes from the top down. The Jehovah’s Witness religion should not be surprised at the vast number who have left.

The religion’s mistakes have been life-altering and grievous and there is certainly NO forgiveness for this. A person who escapes this religion with minimum damage is truly lucky.

Even if they did say they they were sorry (which they did not) people have only one life to live and how many times can a person allow their life to be ruined? The people still sitting there must truly be mind numbed.

That moment when you realize your own family won't listen to anything you say. You know that the smallest comment will be met with hatred. It is the loneliest feeling in the world.

In my opinion JWs destroyed my family. I have seen it happen to many, many people.
