One of most often elements for people to leave the JWS is the oppression and hypocrisy.
If the WT allowed MJ, and even more, took up the cause of legalization like they took up the cause of free speech, it would absolutly boost attendance. I agree with Vidiot.

I know that a lot of them are drunks. I have family members that are really into it and I've seen them drunk on several occasions. I don't mean buzzed, I mean blasted! That seems like a waste of time to be spending all that time at the KH only to end up on skid row. What a mess!
Yes, I know many who imbibe heavy - booze is their favorite love in life. I'm sure it's their only joy in life if they're stuck in the cult -- drinking themselves into oblivion.

As a Physically In Mentally Out JW, I was using songs about smoking marijuana to convey the message that I can do whatever I want. I was letting you know my thoughts on the matter. I just hope that the Governing Body doesn't start piss testing baptismal candidates.
