A reliable source who was working at London Bethel when Mark Sanderson made his visit and broadcast (was it 2015?) recounted this anecdote .
"Mark was asked whether printing had a future in the Society and he said that The Society was certainly not giving up on print. There is a great need for field ministry supplies and that will continue as far as we can see...."

Well at least we know now how far they can see ......

They already tricked the r&f into buying tablet devices and have been demonstrating and encouraging this for years.

Any old timers that resist can man a cart!

Let's face it, they are dying off and the younger faithful seem to thrive on tablet warfare... so burn on the publishers, once more as the WTS cashes in, AGAIN.

It's just a matter of time now before the Watchtower and Awake magazines start having advertisements...

Using a "worldly" company can present some interesting scenarios. What if that "worldly" company is faced with industrial action? What if that "worldly" company refuses to print anti-gay Watchtower articles? What if that "worldly" company has ex-JW employees?

Look closely, the JWdotORG site has been advertised for years.
In the publications, meeting parts, video and on the Kingdom Hall on the way in and out.
Only JWs see the advertising, which is exactly what they want.

That's where they are encouraged to give of their valuable things.

How about full page ORG sponsored ads for their real estate offerings?

Wouldn't that be a kick? Finding out your local Kingdom hall is on the market in the back of the Awake!

Who says it is a 100% 'worldly' owned company?

I don't know 'big' business, but WT never gives away or pays for something without a hugh benefit for themselves.

WatchTower JW..org is it's own type of religious mafia. It is possible they own this company in a round about way. Or, have stock or a stake in it some where.

Outsourcing printing is probably cheaper than in-house printing now.

It's always been hard for the Treasury's bean counters to put an exact cost on publication production at Bethels around the world because so many expenses cannot help but be co-mingled with factory/printery costs.

My opinion: The lower the ratio of Bethelite to publisher the better. Bethel creates JW zealots better than any else.

Oooooh, I know how they'll do it...."product placement!"

    Just like in the movies.

First one: A WT Study article with a photo of JWs sharing in field serve-us, using....an I-pad! The little Apple logo will be small, but visible.

Outsourcing means that the quality control will be lowered...

When I was at bethel years ago, the early videos were coming out. They were made by a dutch company.

Apparantly (or so the rumour went amongst all at bethel) that there were some videos that had images of immorality on the leader tape that was used before the witness video started!

It was as if the company had used old tape and recorded over it, but hadn't wiped it clean first.
