Funny that he brings dijana up so much in the video …

It's his "sympathy card", because who would care about that prostitute-using slime-ball?

Goodness me, he does love the sound of his own voice, doesn't he? Almost seventeen minutes to just say "thanks for those who have contributed so far, but we need more money to survive (but I'm not begging); we need 500 patrons contributing to survive, 600-620 to move forward, otherwise we may need to scale back"? (The last minute was talking about other matters). He re-reads a message he's already sent out for about two minutes, then spends nearly FIFTEEN more saying more-or-less the same thing in about 2-3 different ways!

Perhaps the other members of “Ipsilon Media” should get together and get rid of him, since he is the liability here, and probably the easiest to replace too.
A good point! He is the 'brand' that has been tainted - it would be better all round for him to relinquish the host/interviewer role to a fresh face/voice and rebrand the channel, if he really wants Ipsilon Media to continue and perhaps be a success. That will never happen, of course.
Besides, what exactly is his channel supposed to be, going forward? It's not sustainable as a business model just to be a channel that discusses different religions. If he wants to make it more investigative, he will need insiders and contacts that it seems he no longer has due to his recent actions and indiscretions.

If the begging pays off, he may be able to use the punchline I heard elswhere:

'Thanks, everyone! For a while there, I thought I might have to dip into my savings!'

Maybe he should have used this in his patron video. It would have saved a hell a lot of time.

Yes, Mark. That was when my art teacher and his wife lovingly gave money fron their own savings to a couple who claimed they had "lost everything"... only to hear that from the supposedly destitute couple.

In a rare act of candour, Lloyd actually admitted what we knew all along - He is a business, not a charity. He even identified Ipsilon Media as synonymous with "The Lloyd Evans Channel", or more specifically Lloyd and Dijana Evans, and Tibor Cecelja. He even goes so far as to tell donors they are indeed donating to a business, not a non-profit. And like a business, he reiterates that everyone must be paid.

'Thanks, everyone! For a while there, I thought I might have to dip into my savings!'

Lloyd is essentially a small business owner with two employees. I've known a few entrepreneurial types and it's the same case with most. If there is a part that they needed or someone needs to be paid and company funds can't cover it - it's simple. The owner dips into his own funds and loans the company money. It is paid back when the expected profit is made. Or if it is as simple as an equipment purchase and he doesn't want to go through the hassle documenting the loan properly, he can just buy the equipment personally and either just let "Ipsilon Media" use it for free or even have "them" lease it from him.

Lloyd refuses to do that. The Ronin DGI Gimble costs round $300. Not exactly cheap but it's not going to bankrupt anyone if they purchase it. Buying it himself doesn't add to the company profits. So, he wants his donors to buy it for him so as to not dip into his own wallet and enrich himself.

This story has been told time and time again about young entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk who would sleep at the office or on friend's couches and eat bag lunches in order to save money. Not Lloyd. He's always been a 5-star activist. I would have refused to let Patrick Haeck's son and his girlfriend vacate their room for me. He had no problem with it and seemed to almost expect it. It's like, "I'm the star, Lloyd Evans, so if you want me here you had better make it comfortable enough for me".

Finally, the sheer grandiosity of Lloyd's statement about his legacy and making sure "generations" of people benefit! Who does he think he is, L. Ron Hubbard? It's like he envisions himself retiring to his island and handing over his channel to a chosen successor who will keep it going. It's very Hubbardesque.

"In the year 2145, the Mars colony Elononia has opened its first 'Lloyd Evans Centre'. The James Lloyd Evans Heritage Foundation president Tibor Lloyd Evans de la Cruz officially christened the centre with a bottle of 2030 MacAllen which once belonged to the great man himself. Beneath portraits of the great Leaders Lloyd Evans, Dijana Evans, and Tibor Cecelja, Mr Tibor-Lloyd, as he prefers to be called, unveiled the original Ronin DGI Gimbal donated from the Lloyd Evans Museum in Zagreb"

Stop it, everyone, you are all lying. He had to dip into his savings to get his daughter's hair cut. He even took a picture of her haircut. You cannot fool me!

Does Lloyd realise that he can do a video without a gimble?

Exactly especially since most of the videos are shot on a tripod anyway
