I was angry, of course, but mostly at myself for being so gullible. The grief I felt when I lost my god is still kindof raw. And all those bible characters that were "friends" in lieu of all those worldly friends I couldn't have......not real. As the twig is bent so the tree grows. It's just a hard path. There is no fix. You do the best you can.

EXACTLY! How could I have been so *&^%! gullible and stupid? I'm first of all angry for me being conned.
But I was(am?) also extremely angry at the @$$holes at the top in their Ivory Towers that MUST KNOW that they are spinning a bunch of bullshit. I'm not sure how high it goes or who is implicated, but --
--- Blatant misquotes in publications like the Creator Book and the Trinity Brochure. This indicates the writers of these publications KNOW there is insufficient real evidence to support this crap, so they twist and lie. BUT THEY GOT CAUGHT because the internet allows access to fact check their false quotes. Said publications are "out of stock" or "out of production".
--- Membership in the UN. SOMEONE at the top of the heap signed those agreements. Yet they have the audacity to DF someone who accepts a free membership at the YMCA (anyone legally disabled can be a member without charge) because you have "alligned yourself" with part of Babylon the Great. (But the UN is OK.) WTF?
--- Culty behavior. It was not until I read Steven Hassan's book, Combating Cult Mind Control, that it became completely obvious that WTS/JWs are a Cult. They are not just a Cult. They are POSTER CHILD of a Cult. No group could just "accidentally" fit into the "Cult Mold". WTS/JWs fit each and every criteria to a "T". The design all that they do to "control the minds" of the Rank & File. This cannot be coincidental! it is too "perfect". Someone at the top has implemented a "plan" and I never saw all the control mechanisms.
It is indeed scary to see how one has been manipulated and controlled without you ever suspecting a thing!

To newbies, lurkers here. Steven Hassan's book 'Combating Cult Mind Control' , it is THIS book which in effect clinches JWdom is a cult. So convincing in fact that JW's is a ''poster child'' for cults. As one poster put it a few weeks ago. Get this book. Get it. ASAP.. Go on amazon and search for Steven Hassan books.
It is ''Combating'' with one 't', this is the updated version where he includes JW''s. The ''Combatting'' with two ''t'' is the late 1980's version which does NOT include JW's. Make sure you buy the book with one ''t'', this is the updated one. Get it today!!!

When I tell worldly people they look at me as if I’m crazy - “I have had to get my head around the fact I’m going to die one day”!!
Whaaa😳 they think?!! Haven’t you realised that your whole life? Well......no!
They just don’t get it. How traumatic it can be 😩I also find dealing with the worlds injustice particularly hard to deal with. Young kids with cancer. Murder of innocent people. False imprisonments. The holocaust. Lifelong disability for some. So difficult. So hard to accept.

I think we are having such a hard time with these revealed truths about having to die. Or the reality that we might not see our loved ones again or all of the bizarre fairy tales we were taught because what we were taught.
Its a shock really is but I can’t help but think how shocked a Muslim kid is that wakes up or even a devoted chatholic. I mean they must be shocked to.
I think as a Jehovah’s Witness though we are very unique. We were taught that everything revolved around us and fait of the whole universe rested on weather we were loyal to Jehovah or not. That’s a lot to bear. Abuse comes in many forms. Mentally abusing some especially when there down or as children is not fair and wrong. All of us if you have been a JW are mentally abused including our loved ones inside. I feel it’s worth while cause for me to reach out and help. This abuse has to stop period
