Right! We've committed ourselves to 3 nights at the Holiday Inn, International Drive, Orlando. $55 a night, for both of us, WoW, that is so cheap!
We'll leave for Panama City Wednesday or Thursday.
Next question: Can't see any references to the hotel having a bar, I presume that is a standard thing in US hotels?

Well, it saddens me to say that Harv and I will not be attending Freedom Fest this year. There are problems with booking an airline with frequent flyer miles. Also, where we would have to arrive and depart is quite a ways from PCB and the drive will be tough since we would have flown in Friday and out Monday morning.
He did offer to buy me a ticket to go solo but I can't accept it. So, we are going to San Francisco instead. Yall have fun without us and don't forget to post lots of pictures.

Englishman: Not being as free to go out in an evening (with the kids), we sometimes buy a few bottles of beer from the liquor store and put them in the sink and fill it with ice - they have a big thing about ice as you know

I've sooooooooooo much enjoyed meeting my friends from the net. Each time - I've always met some more and it's fabulous! Even the ones I thought "gee, I don't think I'll like them." lol - they're thinking the same thing as me.............but I do - we find things in common and it's great!

For our British friends - PLEASE consider doing the Magic Kingdom/Epcot thing. Especially if you have kids (Simon & Ang). We've taken our kids when younger several times (many) and each time......we'd go smack at 9am......and leave at midnight. The last hour or so, parents would just sit with coffee and wave to the kids. Just so much for the mind & eye & pocketbook!
Also, next to Disneyworld, there used to be a Disney water park (Is it still there?) Great swimming area for the young & others. Also, a chance to at least experience snorkling, water slide, etc.
Epcot is Just Great!
