He no longer exists is incorrect. He never existed any more than all the other man made gods did.
If you think he did, then stump up some damn good evidence. By evidence, I mean more than the edited, redacted, altered propaganda of ancient desert dwelling goat herders with their own agenda.

There are indeed quite a few people who believe that the legends (and religions) about gods or sky people are really about alien visitors. I don't know who came up with the idea originally, but von Daniken in the '70s wrote a book which was really popular when I was growing up. Now there is a cable TV show about the subject about the beliefs. Basically they look for any old story or legend and find some way to apply it to fit their theory. -

Its funny this subject because in some early Sumerian writings they talk about a couple of gods making man and how they we're having problems at first making ones that could not stand and had other problem's almost as if they we're working out the bugs.
