How many talks have you heard where the "elder" or in the WT says something like...
"Everywhere science has looked, they have not found life."

That's like going to the shore with a teaspoon, sticking it in the ocean, looking at it and saying - this planet must not have wales in it since I see none in this teaspoon.

P.S. to what Cofty will say probably. The Earth is trying to kill us all the time. We would die of exposure or drowning on about 80% of the earths surface without some form of protection or shelter.

He may elaborate on other points.

But evolution seems silly to me too - scruff

    Why?

Cofty. Because that still dosent explain where we came from. So we evolved from monkeys.

Where did the monkeys come from and the thing they evolved from and so on and so forth....

An explosion? Seems bit far fetched to me.

I dont know where we came from

Redvip2000 fuck off you cunt. Its a post on my opinion.if i dont believe the same as you that dosnt make it nonsense.

I choose not to believe biblical crap or a theory thats not proven.

    Hi Scruffy.

1 - We didn't evolve from monkeys. That is not evolution

2 - Every living thing from humans to oak trees to bacteria evolved from a common ancestor by unguided evolution over million of years.

3 - There was no 'explosion'. The Big Bang was a rapid expansion of the universe. It has nothing to do with biological evolution.

4 - The origin of life is the subject of the scientific field of abiogenesis. The most promising ideas at the moment focus on bioenergetics. Life may have arisen in deep-sea Alkaline vents.

5 - The 'theory' of evolution is proven beyond all reasonable doubt. A theory in science does NOT mean the same thing as a hypothesis. Theories are the ultimate standard in science. They explain a whole collection of facts and observations.

6 - Opinions are worthless. The fact of evolution is about evidence.

You would benefit from reading some science textbooks on the basics of evolution.

Here are some threads that present some of the evidence...

Your right its not educated. My knowledge on evolution is limited to documentarys ive watched...i educate myself with things that make a difference to my life instead of something that holds no bearing... Does that make me unentitled to the opinion that i hold?

Unless i see something that convinces me otherwise ill still not agree with evoloution or creation.

Cofty thanks for taking the time to put that together ill check that link shortly.

Everything ive ever seen about evolution has only ever banged on about the missing link and that grew tiresome so i never bothered with it since

Scruffy - Evolution is the most fascinating topic you could commit to learn about. It is the foundation of everything we know about life on earth.

Check out the links and let me know if you have questions.
