Yes afew months ago a Florida woman was shot in the back with a gun left under her seat by her toddler. Today a Milwaukee woman was killed by the same thing. Australian 30 year anniversary of Port aurthur massacre when most dangerous automatic weapons were banned.....no massacres since for 30 years.

Please .NB. Automatic firearms (that fire as a machine gun) have never been allowed in private hands in Australia.
Semi automatic (that self load and fire on each pull of the trigger) were subject to the 'buy-back' where the government used hundreds of thousands of dollars taken from Medicare to 'buy back' semi auto shotguns and rifles. (Handguns were left ..go figure)
To say there have been no massacres is incorrect. A Backpackers motel was deliberately burned to the ground with a huge loss of life.. the weapon? Fire.
A Nursing home for the aged was deliberately burnt down: same use of fire with huge loss of life.
Australia is sadly not safe place. Migrant gangs will 'necklace' (tyre soaked in petrol put over your head) victims as they wish. Drive by shootings in the largest of our capital cities are becoming too common as migrant gangs fight 'turf-wars' Their guns are among the many smuggled in through our porous borders. The 'Labor party' and 'the Greens' oppose moves by the ' Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party' for mandatory punishments for criminal misuse of firearms.
The removing of formerly licenced firearms as in the buy back has vectored the law onto licenced firearm owners. Criminals don't licence their guns.

I frankly don't care what the Brits or Aussies are doing. As an American, I don't answer to the "Queen Mum", and as being under the British monarchy or whatever the fugg it is, I don't expect you to answer to our President. So live well, enjoy a pint and some shrimp on the barbie. I'll enjoy a pilsner of Sam Adams after a day of target shooting or hiking.

If America was content to not try to impose it's politics on the rest of the world, perhaps the rest of the world would be less inclined to comment on the US in return.
If you don't like the discussion, don't take part. Trying to shout it down is not acceptable. People are entitled to their opinion of the US, and of the US policy on guns and whether mums and children being shot is a sign of a problem vs no problem whatsoever.

You know, I honestly hope Trump does become President, because then the free ride for the rest of the MOOCHER countries off of the US tit - will be OVER! He's already stated how he intends to pull funding of NATO down the levels of the rest of the allies, instead of us being 75% of it. How's THAT for us "pulling out of the worlds politics"? I'd love to see us pull our troops out of the United Nations as well. Screw being the police for the world, as well as the world's piggy-bank. What do we get out of it? NOTHING, except an ungrateful smart mouth, and more and more immigrants arriving on our doorstep with their hands out looking to weigh down our social systems even more than they already are. I'd love for Trump to become President, then pull funding out of NATO, UN, build a wall all along Mexico, and pull all "aid" from the Middle East, as well as ALL of our US servicement overseas. Screw 'em! Let the world handle their own affairs for a change. Bring back our carrier groups to Norfold, San Diego, and Honolulu.
