I already have this on my "todo" list ... it will show-up on the popup menu on post titles (and also on the action menu for a post).
Who reported it and the reason will be listed (only the mods will see) but instead of sending a PM, there will be a separate 'X alerts' displayed for mods and a shared list showing the reason etc... Not decided yet if I should let people put comments (possibly useful) or just select the reason from the drop-down list (as per edits)
Ok, I actually think that this is a good idea. It's a standard feature on a lot of bulletin-board software.
But I can't help pointing out that a lot of people made fun of JW Zone and PLN for having the same feature. So to all of you who did so, all I can say is "Nyah, nyah, nyah!"
(And no, I am not at all comparing the mods here to the ones at the dub sites, heaven forbid!)

It was clear (to me, at least) that RF was referring back to what he'd said earlier in this thread: Ive had a number of mails from people who are deeply offended by what i posted and think Im a rapist.
IOW, in the comment that Simon question, RF was saying that to him (RF) the idea that he was a rapist was ridiculous not that the topics of rape, raping, or rapists was funny. That's the way *I* read it, anyway. Hope this helps.

I read it as you did. Nevertheless, I personally wouldn't think it was funny if someone accused me of being so despicable. I'd wonder about how I presented myself and maybe, just maybe see that I did something wrong. Then after a self-evaluation and coming to either conclusion (that I was wrong or not wrong), I still wouldn't think it was funny to be called such a thing.

We all think and respond differently. You might respond differently than RF would in certain circumstances, but that shouldn't be held against YOU.
RF has a thicker skin than most and I've found that he is often too witty for his own good. He did offer an apology, and although some might minimize it, it's more than I've seen *some* EVER do.
