I am so NOT a girlie girl

    • am allergic to perfumes
    • can't walk in heels
    • got an infection under my nail last time I had my nails done
    • almost never wear makeup
    • prefer the wash and go hair styles
    • prefer pants to dresses
    • never read girl mags
    • prefer computer mags

    but on the other hand

    • I enjoy the reading in the bubble bath
    • can't garden because of arthritis in my knees
    • enjoy dressing up sometimes

good thing there is room for all of us and that my hubby loves me just the way I am

I am not a Visit My Mail Stamp! Lesbian type of gal. My mother (80 yrs) still calls me a TomBoy(59 yrs) and of course I am not out to her. Imagine that!! Although I like seeing lipstick on other women.

After leaving the org. I was so glad to give up the hose, skirts and dresses. And the make up 21 yrs ago. To me thats freedom!! lol

I'm a mix, i would never be seen in public without makeup. i have been wearing it since i was 12. i come from the generation that really started wearing jeans, and it is my fav outfit. I don't usaully pair my jeans with a sweatshirt, i prefer an attractive shirt/blouse. I like to wear heels with my jeans, but am barefoot around the house. I like a loose natural looking hair, but to achieve that look takes time. I can't tan, i'm very irsh, and have skin that burns if i stay out for 10 minutes. I love to go in cosmetic stores and consider them like a candy store. i just can't buy enough cosmetics. I was however a "tomboy" growing up.

Dang! Teejay beat me to it - I wanted to be the first guy to respond to this thread.

Those of you who are 'girly-girls', we guys like it. I do, anyway. I love the smell of a seductive prefume. I find that "Beautiful" (by whoever the heck makes it) is a great fragrance. On the right woman (she must be attractive) my legs will get weak, my knees will buckle. Mmmmmm.

Since I just got a new hairdo this morning, I'm singin' that dorky song, "I feel Pretty", sung by that dorky sister in "Dirty Dancing" at "Club Fred"....but usually I'm just Abby Normal in jeans & tees or sweats....

I wasn't always so fussy. After dropping 80 pounds and counting, I am definitely turning into a "girly girl", toe rings and all honey. I love to dress up. I never "fix" my hair, I like the Goldie Hawn style of just being free. Yes I get a pedicure and my nails done on the clock. I am starting to love pampering myself. I also joined a tanning salon, which I go to daily. I don't leave the house without my make-up on. My Momma taught me that! You just NEVER know who you are gonna see when you are out.

My ex was a certified stage makeup artist. She worked runway, stage, and still shoots. I used to help backstage...what a great job! I would bring a roll of clear tape and safety pins and all the girls loved me! So I will admit I can tell if a lady knows how to wear makeup. Most wear the wrong foundation or leave the crap on all night, or all month and just touch it up. Tip for you, this is very bad for your pores! My daughter went to finishing school in Tampa. They teach you how to walk and talk and eat like a lady. Get in and out of a car, etc. I like it when ladies dress up and look classy. And I will complement any woman that has made the effort. And then I walk away. This is not a hit, that would just discredit the complement. There is nothing wrong with makeup, nice shoes, painted nail, and my personal favorite, earrings! (I call them fishing lures for men!) Maverick
