Actually, not a dumb question as the term was only coined a couple of years ago by (I think Lezley Lowe) the "Coast" newspaper, snotty little rag that it is.
Just thought I'd say Hi, I was down yr way last week - escaped the smog for a couple days. I love Halifax but it's turned into such a 'big city' in the last few years. Ick. Oh well.

I have a client that is a retired NYC firechef who lost 29 close personal friends and worked with the red cross as a shuttle driver for two months, starting on 9/12. He was allowed at groung zero only the first day he worked. Unless you were authorized as part of the rescue or investigative teams, you were not allowed on the site! Support people, clergy, counselors were restricted to cleared zones only! If the duds were at ground zero, as they claimed, they are now suffering severe lung problems! Maverick
Update
I worked again today for the retired Firechef mentioned above. I apparently misunderstood what he told me about going to Ground Zero. After it was determined that there were no more survivors, ground zero was opened up to clergy and counselors. The person I spoke to did not personally see the Witnesses, but he felt they very well could have been there. I apologize for not having my facts straight! Maverick

Could be a fabrication, though I guess it's possible that one or more jws made their way in tehre and maybe later were told to clear out? Who knows for sure.
