: Is there anything that you miss, since you don't belong to the JW's anymore?

Sure! Lots of great stuff I miss. Among them:

    1. Spending half the morning at diners and coffee shops between selling books that no one wanted instead of getting a real life and a real job.

    2. Wishing everyone who disagreed with me would be vaporized by God so I could get their neat cars and nice houses.

    3. Living in a fantasy that allowed me not to face any real problems and let God solve them all for me. (As long as continued to sell books that nobody wanted.)

    4. Being in a religion in which everyone including myself was so selfish that we didn't have to discuss or even think about the real problems facing humans. We just had to sell books and let someone else (God, who never does ANYTHING) take care of all the problems. I miss that life which involved so much laziness and apathy towards others.

I don't miss the "selling books" part. I just missed all the perceived perks that came with it!

I don't miss "Service Meetings," either. I'd rather have a root canal than attend another one of those.

I miss my youth and health that I gave to the Borg under duress. nothing else. I would like to hear that some I used to know are out too...but I have so much more now than I ever had then....even Paradise can't compare with actually having a life now that you can live.
