...A memorial to the victims or thriving business offices?

Would building offices show a disrespect for the victims or would it be a good idea in the sense that it shows the USA are picking up where they left off and not being deterred by the terrorists?

Build something commercial that is stunning visually. Then put in a commemorative garden, with a large chunk of the WTC girders as a backdrop to a long, long set of marble tablets engraved with the names of all the victims.

I know they won't do it but I'd love to see even bigger buildings. I like the idea of something commenerate those who died but something bigger would be wonderful.

What should replace the twin towers? I think perhaps just one very large building in the shape of a hand with its middle finger extended. And out of respect for those that made this new building necessary in the first place, it should face east toward Mecca.

Eman, I was thinking something along those lines. Good idea and would probably settle the arguments they are having.

Thats cool Valis, looks like a carpet hoover but none the less its cool...:)

lol @ freeman. I saw the photo of said building! Too cool.

Stacy I doubt they would do it too, would be good though!

There would be plenty of room to write the victims names on those towers huh..

Nothing, except a memorial to the victims.

Placing yet another set of business buildings would be tasteless and disrespectful...

It will be a commercial building because it's prime real estate and big business always wins out.

I'm sure they will find place for a plaque somewhere.
