#11 other We had 2 congregations using the same hall. One had a surplus of about $20,000, the other was almost broke. All expenses for everything was spilt down the middle. I use to think how unloving of the rich one not to pay a little more and take some of the burden off of your sister cong. I heard the accounts report in both. Rich--thank-you for your loving support, poor--always reminded of up coming expenses.

I would have to say in virtually every hall we were in :#1and 5

It was a good time to quickly review one's part on the meeting, or catch a few quick ZZZZ's because our accounts servants seemed to all have the same monotone voice and you knew it was a real struggle for them to reach even that feverish pitch. Anyway, money to most of us was a pretty boring subject, because none of us had any.

nobody told me, that reminded me of something my husband says that the bros/sis voted with their pocketbook (something he saw done at his old church). When something would happen at the KH that the rank and file did not like, the donations would go way down. So if you feel powerless and have been donating, stop (if you are still attending). I saw one congregation never have enough to pay its part of the bills because there was a feud going on with the congregation sharing the building. The elders had to reach it and make up the difference. One wealthy elder came to control the congregation that way.

I would say all of the above once you take #7 out of it. It was just a way the JW's ask for guilt money and do not have to have envelopes like other churches or passing the plate around.
