Excellent Simon. There's no need for name calling just because of disagreeing with other folks. There's a way to state one's own opinion and then the next one can. Thanks for having people pull back from the insults.

It's just a little box w a little x in it. You need to get it hosted on a site like strike9, or something like that. It works on your machine but not for others.

Well you listed 7 topics and of those 4 fall strongly in the realm of religion. So is evolution now forbidden or abortion or the death sentence or free will?
I don't think Simon meant that we are not to discuss the religious things...
If challenging commonly held religious views is wrong then I guess I need to have that pointed out explicitly.
Abortion, Capital punishment, evolution, gun control et al., are subjects many of us have spent years avoiding as dubs. NOW we have the chance to form informed opinions. That is all part of the healing process. We try to avoid the old cognative disonance trap we fell into for our dub years.
Many of us are voting now. I find it both refreshing and aggravating that people who used to agree with me and the WTS 100% now don't agree w/ me on politics, abortion, evolution etc. I want to hear it.
Someday I want to be able to discuss my childhood and I won't be able to do that w/o explicit words. Why would I do that here on this forum? Because I have a basic trust that my outpouring will be met by people who actually care. If a person takes exception to how I might portray family members then I want to know that too.
I want to talk about how amazing and refreshing this board of honesty is, and sarcastic too w3hich I really like.

Nothing is being banned outright.
I am just suggesting that people tone things down and don't try to make 'soapbox politics' the centre of their posting here.
People can discuss things as long as they do so in a civil manner. If it stops being civil, they shouldn't be surprised if their posts are removed.
