    Yes, the DO NOT CALL!!!!!

You have a "RIGHT TO QUIET ENJOYMENT", but this is usually used to keep a nosy landlord off your back. This is not usually considered directly applicable. (Hold that thought, we'll get back to this...)

Short of using the "RIGHT TO QUIET ENJOYMENT", but along similar lines, the local ordinances were created.

The WTS counters with the Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion Rights; so the local Ordinances get quashed.

BTW, WTS also uses the "Right of Easement": anyone can approach your property to the point of coming to your front door and knocking on it!!! The "Right of Easement" relaxes the effect of laws on Trespass.

Now, to counter this, you can specifically post a sign or send a Legal Notice to the local KH. The sign would have to specifically indicate JW's.

Such a thing might also be a Lawyer's Letter with a "Notice of Revocation of Right of Easement" specifying your address. This Notice TO A SPECIFIC INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP restores the effects of the laws on Trespass. Violation of this gives you a "Cause of Action". This could be Criminal Trespass or some Civil Action; Harassment sounds reasonable.

Promise Legal Action, if the Notice is violated. Make the term of the Notice indefinite and specifically require that JW's not come back to "check and see if you have moved".

They can check the County Recorder's Office to see if you have moved, if the spirit moves them to do that. This will "get them off the streets".

Combined with a reference to the violation of your Right of Quiet Enjoyment, this is a strong document.

Now, IF THERE WERE A LOCAL ORDINANCE DESCRIBING THE "Notice of Revocation of Right of Easement", this would be different!!!! This would "have teeth". But, the Trespass laws give it teeth anyway, so such an Ordinance is likely redundant.

So, it seems that the Local Ordinances are probably IMPROPERLY DRAWN and are too broad in scope or focused on the wrong specifics. Indeed, I believe the U.S. Supreme Court has mentioned this!!!

If these Ordinances were revisited, along these lines, they might become effective.

Notice how these laws bounce back & forth in effect-countereffect??

    It's a lot like military R&D: measure, countermeasure, counter-countermeasure....

"We have a right to say No."

A comment on this: Yes, we have the right to say NO!!!

But, should you choose to say YES or NO?? Should you choose to "play their game", as many have pointed out. And you don't have to say "jack", "boo" or ANYTHING to them.

The WTS makes it plain that they don't have to speak to you.

AS LONG AS THESE people PRACTICE SHUNNING, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TALK TO THEM. God and you can settle your religious matters directly, thank you!!!!

The JW's cannot legally COMPEL you to acknowledge them or give them the time of day.

The WTS would have it that they hide behind Church Law.

The Secular Courts are happy with this and accord them the virtual privilege of being a GOVERNMENT.

Therefore, you could not pursue a "Cause of Action" against them for DF'ing.

Wonderful: the Secular Courts say that they have no Jurisdiction in the Religious Tribunal. WRONG VENUE!!!!!!!!

So, that bounces your Religious "Cause of Action" BACK to the Religious Tribunal.

Oops, exhausted that recourse??? Appealed your DF'ing, for instance?

Fine, start your own Church: it is now a "catfight between Churches".

(This would be so, even if your Church is only a Church of ONE PERSON!!!)

While you are it, REPUDIATE YOUR DF'ING!!!!

OK, fine: THAT SWORD CUTS BOTH WAYS. THE WTS CAN'T pursue your Religion in Secular Courts, either.

You can choose to find out about the Religious Teachings of ANY group, by whatever means are available. You can do this without contact with ANYONE.

And you don't have to answer to or acknowledge your thoughts to ANY MAN.

And this is why the WTS hates the I-Net.

In the last two months the Mormons have been through my apartment compelex at least FOUR times. I only talked to them once and the rest of the times I did not bother to even open my door.

Today was the fourth time I saw them in my peep-hole. I'm going to have to have a talk with the apartment office about this.

Ever since I moved here to the DFW area about four years ago I have not seen a single JW unless I initiated contact. I'm wondering if their FS efforts are going down.

Off topic, but this reminds me--I was in the Chicago airport the other day and saw a shipment of Mormans headed for Birmingham. They were so cute.

    Good sign, Elsewhere.

Remember, you DO have to be specific, or they will do an end-run around you by using "weasel-word" justifications. They do this worse than a Philadelphia Lawyer; Oh, that's right: they moved out of Philly (or vicinity) a century ago...

I have a good JPEG for a sign. Where can I "host it" on the net??
