The dress codes were just stupid. My dad was told that since he owned a hand gun he couldn't be used at the hall. Well he competes in shooting competitions... hello??????

Then the deal about oral sex, I mean come on now. Bunch of frustrated old farts.

Several of the young women in the congregation studied each week with an older, well-respected woman in the congregation. She laid down several rules for appropriate women's attitire. I remember her telling us all to get down on the floor and stand on our knees. If the hem of our dress didn't touch the floor, it was too short.

What you had on your hands there was a lesbian dominatrix who had not yet come out of the closet.

Here is one among the many:"Don't put your arm around your wife while sitting in the kingdom hall,it might excite the young ones, romantically.

Yeah right, excite them sexually, distract them from the meeting.

No stamps with flags on it.

In other words, if you mailed a letter, it would have to be a stamp that was non-patriotic.

Here's another stupid rule: Counting time, as if that's what makes Jehovah happy......Not being able to count a Bible Study until you have a Bible Study 3 consecutive times.....If you got a "W" on a speech counsel point, you couldn't get a "G" without getting an "I" first.

From the circuit assembly, sisters were told to shine a torch through their skirts, if legs could be seen through the skirt it was considered an immoral form of dress.

Hmmm... lends new meaning to the phrase "torch bearer".... now that's a job I would gladly do!
