mindless behavior is everywhere
Amen to that. It's not a perogative of any one nation. After hearing some of the stunts people pull I find myself apologizing to my basset hounds for being human. They understand and forgive me.

I thought this was an interesting comparisom http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/3100550.stm
I believe that a small minority of people are out to cause trouble, and after all, David Blaine would be no where without public interest . If the rest of Britain were like me and could not care wether he makes it or not, then he would not be a very rich man
It is easy to say how terrible things are now, but this place where he is suspended is not far from where people used to throw thingsat people in stocks, or watch a public hanging on a Sunday afternoon . Human nature does not change much
David Blaine has been in his box for two weeks now. During that time it's become a daily event for people to go and throw eggs and other food at the box, people have also fired golf-balls at him and other objects and someone has even tried to cut the cables holding the box from the crane. People have also tried to shine lasers into his eyes and othe 'clever' tricks.
I saw this on the news. A reporter was asking bystanders why they were treating him this way. They responded: " Because what he is doing is stupid and embarrassing "
Simon we need a smiley face that picks its nose.
Simon says,
No, I think it is more prevalent than that. There is no respect shown for anyone or anything anymore.
"Yes!" says the man at the door, "But the Bible promises a New World in which righteousness is to dwell, a paradise where lovers of truth will enjoy eternal peace and security. May I share a thought with you from this publication ....".
Simon interupts by yelling over his shoulder, "Ang, fetch me a carton of eggs"

You've picked the wrong town to be hung in, Mr Blaine," a commentator in the Sunday Times wrote. "What is clear from the start is that Londoners are not taking Blaine quite as seriously as he takes himself. ... Really, it makes you proud to be British."
??????????????????????????????????
No need to be ashamed, ((Simon))....mindless behavior is an individual choice and not ethnicity related.
Frannie B (of the proud to be Celtic class)
But we always throw eggs at people who take themselves too seriously, it's part of our heritage!
The British throw eggs.
Doesn't everyone?
Englishman.
The British throw eggs. Doesn't everyone?
No. Some of us throw tea and then hot lead.
Mike.
I just got a job that puts me in contact with a lot of different people on a daily basis....and let me tell you, there are stupid and ignorant people EVERYWHERE!.....it's not exclusive to Britain.
Oh my you want to know what RUDE is try riding the subway at rush hour in New York City. New Yorkers are the rudest creatures on the face of the earth, at least the Britain i left 22 years ago people were still civilized. Sometimes i feel like i'm living amongnst
