good try, but NO ONE touches my shoes. theyre among my most treasured posessions. i'm going to be cremated with them. you understand. ;) ;)

Dansk I understand where you are coming from but I don't think I could cut one of my kids out and give it all to the other. Even if they were JWs (which I am so glad they aren't)

It really is a personal decision but I won't stoop to the level of the borg. I will split it evenly. What they do with it is up to them. Mind you I might "suggest" they do something like spend it all

    Dansk,

I applaud your decision. Your girls might feel put out for a while, but at least the depth of your feelings will now be known to them. Could be what might eventually causes them to think twice!

That would be good E-man but I suspect they will think it is some weird form of apostate persecution and to be expected from unloving worldy people

    Dansk,

However, knowing the girls, their being JWs, they would undoubtedly donate some of their inheritance to Watchtower

How would you know that for sure? What if you could talk to them and ask them their feelings.........on your feeling about this. Perhaps they would agree to NOT donate it that way if you asked them in a nice manner and explained WHY in a nice manner. I don't know your situation, but I would think it might do more good in the long haul to include them if they can comply.

The day may come when they will leave or the borg....or it will fall, and your good deeds will then be appreciated by your girls. They are brainwashed as we all were.

    Gumby,

Believe me, they will donate a large slice of any inheritance that they get, particularly if the money comes from "apostate" parents. It will be a "purification" thing, so that they can feel OK about the bit that they keep for themselves.

The posters here who have asked Dansk to reconsider, are truly the purest amongst us, and bless you.

However................let's take this situation to the reverse !!!

How many of you out there, who have been disfellowshipped, or have disassociated yourselves, suspect you have been written out of wills and inheritances?????

And if you were vocal when leaving, and continue to do so upon exiting, to the point of being referred to as a "formidable apostate" (love that RR) do you really think you have a hope in hell of getting a fair share?

Dansk. You do, what you feel is right at this time.
