Big deal the WT pigs won it on a technicality. I don't know how they can sleep at night.
Pass on my best regards to Erica.

I have just been talking on the phone to Erica's fiancé, There is still going to be an appeal to the decision by this judge. It will probably be about a year before the appeal is heard.
*** Recently silentlambs received a check from World wide work money in the amount of $877.26 to pay for my expenses in the deposition I attended back in May. ***
Does this mean that WBTS paid to an "apostate"? If so, perhaps those of us remaining "inside" should make enquiries and protest against our money being spent on "adversaries"? ...........
Interesting observation.
Wonder whom else is in line for receiving such funds.

Unfortunately the WTBTS can't exclude themselve's from the "part of the world" that includes lawyer/legal protocol. If they want to do the dance, then yes they have to pay expenses to depose people that live farther than 150 miles, unless they want to have the deposition there in Kentucky. Bill is right to make them pay and to go where he feels he can do the most good. No conspiracy, just the facts. 1K or less $ is a drop in the bucket versus the legal fees and court costs they have racked up in protecting the child molesters amongst them, and I really think it will take the big million dollar hit that wakes up the average dubbie, who can barely keep up with the Kingdom Ministry School, much less even care about lawsuits involving mommy borg.

Bowen should send that 800.00 to Vicki!!!!!
Damn him!

Hello Skally,
Bowen should send that 800.00 to Vicki!!!!!Damn him!

He, or the silentlambs org. put that money up for him to attend depositions. The WTBTS paid him or silentlambs back.
Either way - it's his call. I haven't seen anybody else being damned for giving or not giving their private money. If it's silentlamb's money.....well, that's taken care of over there. Perhaps damning him over there would be more appropriate?
Don't know why you're damning him - no matter what anybody says, imho.......the man puts in more than his share of work for others.
If you think he should contribute $800, well, why don't you contribute first - and see if he'll match you? Would be interesting. Perhaps more of us would follow your lead, eh? XJW Match Game

IMO ---I think Bill Bowen has done a very good service for those who were /are/ abused I tip my hat to him. Many it seems go by hearsay about Bill.I have never met the man...But from the work he has done in MY humble opinion he doesnt deserve the "hate" feelings I have seen expressed ( maybe not here >all the time >elsewhere also.He also was treated badly by the "wolf" let us not finish the job they started by tearing him to peices. MY OPINION ....Grace Gough
I know that Bill Bowen still has to run his business to support himself and his family. Doing that and helping run silentlambs is amazing. The money given to silentlambs does not go directly to Bill but to a fund that is monitored by others. Bill and others give of their personal funds and time to help people like Vicki, Erica, and others. Some of us spend our time pursuing our personal lives with not even donating five bucks to SL. For some the only way they participate in helping survivors of child abuse by the WTS system, is to post on this board. Until we start putting more than keystrokes into this issue, we are not in a position to criticize those who are doing more than that. Skally if you have hard proof that Bill is misusing these funds then state so. If you are merely casting out unsupported accusations, then perhaps you should stop, if not because of Bill then because of Vicki, Erica, and other abuse survivors that are being helped and will be helped by silentlambs. If you are sincere in your concern, direct them to [email protected].
I am currently working with a group in my state to get a bill passed requiring clergy to report abuse cases to law enforcement. Recent cases in the Catholic Church in my area are making the passage of this bill more likely.
Can you help the group of people at silentlambs? If not, what can you do to help survivors in your area? Are you planning on helping Vicki financially?

Just fyi, this is not over yet.
