Just think: discouraged from persuing an education, encouraged to view titles as highly esteemed instead of income....
No wonder the average JW family lives at the poverty level!
G'day TMS,
I thought 'mini pioneering' was an aussie thing!
So, it's in East Timor, too, eh?
Cheers,

G'day noway,
Isn't it strange how Fred will support expressions like 'pioneer' and 'organisation' which are not in the Bible, but when it comes to 'Trinity', well...!!

My wife and I regular pioneered together. I never got over my fear of witnessing no matter how many hours I put in. I did enjoy the conversations though, because of the gain in experience.
It however fortunately for us it was the beginning of our escape from the borg. Why request and appoint regular pioneers when the territory is being covered every two weeks. I began to see through the scam.
It is all behind me and I have never been so relieved. Even this alone is proof that the WTS is apostate. Jesus said "my yoke is kindly and my load is light", so if the WTS were true followers of Christ, then no one would feel such a weight being lifted from their shoulders upon leaving.

I pioneered for a few years, during which time I had to have an operation. This was the time I started to find out how uncaring the elders are. At first, I thought it was just the congregation where I was attending, and that it 'would be put right in due time'. How naive! I did not realise it then, but it was the beginning of my long-drawn-out exit from the WTS.

Here in Japan it is 70 hours for regular pioneers and 50 for vacation
pioneers.Isn`t it the same all over the world?
One friend went to the KH after missing a meeting only to find that
she had been volunteered to be a pioneer by the elder in her absence.
He felt she`d appreciate the privaledge...?
Ever wondered why the society wants you to count time rather than
contacts or meaningful conversations? I think the main issue is
schedule control.Tying up bros.` time is the best way to keep them
`theocratic` and keep them away from dangerous or questionable
activities such as... well, like maybe loging on the internet..?
If they paid even a dollar per hour for FS, they`d change their
policy immediately because it is tremendously cost ineffective.
Several years back I figured the average number of hours the JWs
use here in Japan to gain one baptism. It came to some ridiculus
figure.Something like 10,000 hours of FS per baptism. I think
the figures are even worse now. JWD
I remember madly trying to aux pioneer while working full-time, for a couple of Aprils. It was totally exhausting. The first time I thought it was because I wasn't committed enough to the work, not "spiritual" enough. I soon realised it was the impossible standards set by the Society to those who were already pushed to the limit.
Hi Fred,
You have to wait till you are 30 years old to pioneer, if you follow Jesus example. You can work as a carpenter untill you get that old.
