A small question that haunted me as a JW was why did Jehovah kill all the humans in the Flood who had become depraved and violent but let the demons who ostensibly brought perversion and violence to the world go free to do it again after the flood? Is this some kind of discrimination? Think about it. (it's a story)

simple.
He didn't.
The Flood was a local thing (maybe the Black Sea flood we've read about recently) exaggerated in the Bible.

czar...I know that. The (its a story)part was to suggest as much. The post was written from the perspective of a JW beginning to face these issues gradually. The story does not make sense if assumed historical and coming from a God "showing no favoritism".

Its just a stupid, badly written story. Maybe thousands of years ago it was a best selling thriller, but these days its nothing more than a illigical fable that insults the intelligence. And to think that I used to believe this stuff...Jeeeze!

hmmmm...good question pete, maybe God isn't powerful enough to kill spirit creatures. Is there any instance in the bible where he has done such a thing? He must like to keep them around so they can choose to either help humankind or torment them.

It was not yet the time for demons to be cast into hell, and for Noah, maybe God let them live because he saw a hope of righteousness in the family. Maybe they would have been the last righteous in the world if he hadn't destroyed the rest.

pray to God and ask him for the answer, simple minded people like ourselves will never be able to comprehend God's reasons for doing things that seem unreasonable to us.

DR .....I hope your joking.
Avenger...Just what does it mean "it was not yet time"? Just who is setting the schedule for justice being done? Apparently it was always "a good time" for killing humans.

Apparently it was always "a good time" for killing humans
Humans are going to be resurrected. It doen't matter how many of them get killed. They are so fragile, killing them is so easy. Besides they get new life in the end. Spirit creatures are tougher, they are not so easy to bump off. First they have to have a few powers removed, like no more tranforming into humans, etc. Then their older brother has to get new powers. When that happens look out demons! War in heaven. Maybe this war takes 2000 years or so. In the mean time the puny humans think they have been abandoned by the Queso Grande and have wars of their own trying to kill each other off. When the war in heaven is won the bad demons are kicked down to earth. (Ya Like we need that!) And more humans get in the way and get killed off. But of course they should be happy about that. Lift your heads up and all.
It is so simple.
