So what about those to whom nothing good happens? Do they, like me, assume it's because Jehovah does not care for them?
Did You Think "Jehovah" Was Responsible For Everything Good In Your Life?

And Mini, you NEVER respond to threads. Now they are, of course, mindless drivel, but come on...fair is fair....
And I love you, Mini. I see a lot of growth in you.

I don't think "Jehovah" was responsible for anything that happened to me, good or bad. Life is what we make it. Of course, at times we have bad breaks, some more than others, but I don't think "Jehovah" or the "Devil" have anything to do with it.
Imagine a scenerio; two infants fall into a pool at a pool party. One is rescued while the other drowns. Was "Jehovah" blessing one and not the other?
I don't think so.

Beryl, What do you mean I NEVER respond to threads? Look at post history and you'll see I do. And I just responded to your little thread (again). And I love you too, tootsie!

I am, once again, corrected. I will check. Sorry, Min.

No - nor did I blame Satan for the bad either - however it was a rule generally for brothers (and in particular sisters) to follow the "thank Jehovah - Blame Satan" school of thinking. As others have posted was Jehovah partial - saving some but overlookig others ?

When I was a young adult, I believed he was responsible for the big good things. I knew he didn't control every moment of your life though. I remember a sister in my cong then who thought that if she got tongue-tied at the door, it meant that Jehovah was blocking her speech because he thought she wasn't adequate enough to talk to the householder, and Jehovah had her companion take over.
As I got older though, I realized, like a lot who have already posted, that good and bad happens to good people and bad. And if someone felt Jehovah was blessing them with a good job, etc. etc., then what about the other person in the cong. who was still suffering with some problem that wasn't being resolved? I began to see that consequences happen to people because of the decisions they make. And it happens to JWs just as much as non-jws.

I never felt Jah was controlling my life. I remember one time when my whole family was pioneering and we were out of food and someone said He would provide and I said it's about time. When we got home from service my aunt had cooked our supper and brought it up to our house. That made me feel kinda strange. It wasn't Jehovah though, it was my aunt who knew we didn't have much to eat that week.

For a while, I believed that all good things happened because Jehovah had blessed me. I think a lot of this had to do with me being a child looking up to my mother as "all knowledgeable", but who else is a child supposed to look up to? When I was becoming spiritually weak, I started realizing that it wasn't Jehovah blessing me at all. In fact, it seemed to be quite the opposite. Jehovah was actually causing all the problems in my life.
