Well, you know, I'd hate to burst the bubble, but I'd be dead anyway, cuz I do not have spotlessly clean windows ... and everybody knows, Jah hates people who don't have spotlessly clean windows. And even if He could forgive me for that, I also do a number of other stuff that He just doesn't apporve of... So I'll be a sexy dead chick, and all those other people will just be bored living in eternity, I think I have the better deal here

... and how could there possibly have any meetings? There would be no need for "do more in service" talks because there would be no one left who needed a witness. There would be no other religions to trash, no need to hear talks about how much better JW's are than anyone else, no need for "new light", no need to try to figure out the Bible, etc........

I would build myself a spaceship and circumnavigate the whole universe.

The Bible clearly states "the meek shall inherit the Earth". There is no mention of extraterrestrial travel, in either the Bible, nor in any Watchtower magazine or book which I've ever read.

The assumption here is that we are marooned on Earth, with no possibility of travelling elsewhere. This is the "Eternal Paradise" preached and promoted by Jehovah's Witnesses.

I, for one, do not think that most Jehovah's Witnesses have ever bothered to grasp the concept of "eternity".

I guess I'll still be picking apples off a tree with my dress shirt done all the way up with a lion sitting beside me with my perma-smile on showing my pearly whites.

Or I could just chase Charlie T. Russell from Argentina to Alaska in hopes of giving him a noogy. That may take up a few years.

Wait he'll be upstairs watching. Okay I'll just chase Johnny Baptist instead.

    Great Thread, SFJim

This is a question that's bothered me. I know at some point I'll drop the ball and fall short.I guess I'm gone after that.

I could stay entertained if I could pretty much do what i wanted. I'm able to enjoy just being alive. I've gone to the same vacation place at the beach pretty much every year for 10 years and do basically the same thing each year and don't get bored. I'd like to own a vineyard and became a good winemaker. I'd never get bored looking forward to how the wine would taste each year. Also I'd hafta be allowed to grow weed. Good Wine, good weed, a good woman and an ocean with good surf would keep me happy for millenia. I'm happy enjoying the details. Of course, none of that sounds like the JW paradise. Not 'balanced' enough. Im a lover of pleasure and not a lover of god.

Without many JW's having an education how would this "world" continue to exist? Electricity? Running water? I was taught - it will be like in the days of Adam and Eve....... no "basic's" that we "have to have" now. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy camping outdoors - but i am happy to get home to my hot running water, bathroom and kicking back watching a movie on TV.

Are there enough ?intelligent? (I am not being condescending) survivors that have the knowledge for the things we take for granted like electricity? My generation was not encouraged to have a higher education at all. All of my JW nieces and nephews are now being home-schooled and many others in their area.

What will the world be like 276,483 years from now..... with the education of JW?s only?
