'The ministry has concluded that the Jehovah's Witnesses' exclusion practice, which includes baptized children, and corresponding consequences for baptized children who opt out, violates children's rights.'

'JEHOVAS VITNER: Barne- og familiedepartementet har omsider konkludert: Jehovas vitner mister statstilskuddet for 2021.'
'Flashback to 3 years ago, October 2019, when I was at the main national Saturday news, still without a name and a face, trying to get attention to the way Norway funded this religion.
Change takes time and effort. Don't give up after a few months(subs on)'
FedUpJW - "...I can hear them now: 'We are being PERSECUTED!'..."
To which I would respond with, "...'Paying back Caesar's things to Caesar' is 'persecution'?"
Ding - "Why would the Watchtower want money from worldly governments that are opposed to Jehovah's Kingdom anyway?"
I wouldn't change a single word of this sentence.
Thank you New Boy for your original posts.
This is the work of some amazing Norwegian activists (yes....they make change happen!) not least among them Jan Frode Nilsen
Below is a video about the case earlier this year.
Hooray for Norway! Shunning of minors is so obviously harmful psychologically and only makes them hate the religion. Not the "loving way to bring them back to Jehovah" that members claim it to be. Now if only there was a way to petition other governments to follow suit by removing tax exemptions for congregation properties and donations.
The government has authority to enforce LAWS that apply to everybody but not to impose on religion how the government likes religion to adjudicate morality or how religion should be practiced. It is a right whether or not one wishes to talk to or have to fellowship with someone in a religious setting. Prejudice based on bias is one thing but not be forced to practice religion by moral rules made up by the government. Something is wrong with the government when they resort to interfere with religious freedom.
Rom.13: 1-7 Be in subjection to the superiour authorities for it is an arrangement of GOD and he who takes a stand against that authority takes a stand against GOD.
How is it that the GB of Jehovah`s Witnesses can cherry pick what scriptures they adhere to and those that they ignore ?
Smid, based on God things to God. Rarely do the authorities act sua sponte on theses matters. Usually it is because someone complained who has beef against the JW religion.
