I heard many of these cliche statements from know-it-all Witnesses.
In my case, a snide remark was made by a JW who did my taxes for a time. They noticed that I put money into an IRA: “you’ll never see that money” they said.. (the “end” supposedly being expected any minute)....
I’m sure this person gossiped about my business to all the busybodies...
Well, I am retired almost four years and this JW who did my taxes passed away well over two decades ago.
