I agree -- we own ourselves and everyone should be busy living their own lives and if they're not that's their problem.

cc , maybe you should try having no dates at Hungry Jacks instead of Macs they could be a better clientele.you might even get a kiss on the cheek instead of a handshake.
Have you seen "The Founder"? with M.keaton? (sorry to stray off topic)
The suit the tie the briefcase are all good props and the bonus is the brochures and spreadsheets .
You should have great success in finding any lost sheep .
Well done cc. Do you leave the venue together or alone? 😉
Cc I hope you keep your S8 details of each non date up to date, showing spreadsheets discussed, suit worn, best or second best brief case.
As a Walter Mitty myself I have a lot of these non dates all on my own with surprisingly good results, keeping up with the non return date or non back date is a bit time consuming but helps me keep my hour chart up to date, So far this year I am above average hours for non dates so must keep it up. Just about everything I do is a 'none'
Thank you, smiddy, steve2, and Lostandfound, for seeing the intended humor here.
smiddy: I will try Hungry Jacks and rent The Founder from Netflix. Good advice! I worry, however, that a peck on the cheek might land me in a bushel of sorrow!
steve: I am mute; well, here anyway . . .
Lostandfound: I do appreciate the ref to Walter! Kudos on your above average hours for non-dates. I impress easily, and that's saying something!
Best Wishes, all.
I live in a funny, strange world where the border between reality and fantasy bleeds and blends, one into the other.
Sounds like my kind of world. I think facing up to reality is necessary but you can have too much of a good thing. We have become aware and sentient but along with everyday reality we still love stories, we create beauty and fun with our amazing minds
Thank you, Xanthippe:
Welcome to our world!
Beautifully expressed.
He said let's go out on a date
okay i said that does sound great
my address I will have to give
don't bother i know where you live
a true story
Thank you, Nancy!
A true story, a happy ending!
Well, it ain't over till it's over . . .
A happy ending yes
This topic made me think about busybodies in the congregation who are always "concerned" about other peoples behavior. I don't miss those conversations one bit. In their world people are always going on too many vacations or not going out in service enough or growing a beard or dressing improperly. It wears on you and towards the end of my stay I started having scary conversations with them till someone who was "concerned" went to the elders because they thought I needed help.
I feel so much better now they were closing in on me with their spider web thinking and then I escaped the enclosure never looking back with any longing just thinking the proverbial "what doesn't kill you makes you strong".
So date on
