But I thought the WTS taught that it was the F&DS that "provided spiritual food at the right time"? This doesn't sit well with the R&F depending on "the greatest scholar who ever lived" feeding them.

lol...Well, at least you have a sense of humor. Fred Franz, the Marquis De Sade in bedroom slippers was indeed an gifted amateur Bible scholar in an autistic sort of way. His problem is that his work lacked the accuracy, veracity and weight that may have developed if it had been presented for criticism to the professional scholars that you so much espouse.
For example, I am sure they would have found great use for the book 'Baylon The Great Has Fallen' abandoned even by its own creator due to its theological insanity. It might have served as a model for generations of Bible scholars in Universities around the world as a prime example that just thinking you are right about a subject, does not necessarily make you right!
I put Frederick Franz more in the Father Divine league than the Madame Cecilia.
