well integ youre allowed to have a viewpoint that goes against the grain of what the majority of others have expressed . kindly extend us the same courtesy.

i would have thought it was BLINDINGLY clear that i mean no harm by my innocent comment to you, but just for the record, it was not my intention to belittle your viewpoint or experience. i was simply expressing a differing view in a somewhat humorous way. i trust everyone else who read my comment could see that.

k, I've never played w/ a Ouijia board, partly cuz, yes...let's face it, they're produced by parker brothers. But, also cuz i don't want to mess w/ the type of spirits that might be attracted to that.

Integ- I have LIVED in a haunted house, and have had enough experiences w/ things like that, that I do believe in supernatural forces. I know it's probably hard for most Ex-dubs to believe in, being that we were taught for so long that such things didn't exist...and I never believed in them until I lived in that house. Then, when you wake up every morning to all the cupboards and drawers in your kitchen open, when you see things run across the room behind you in a reflection, when shut a window in a room, and go back a minute later and it's open again, when things slam doors, when your animals freeze up and stare at one spot in the room, and will NOT look away, etc....you tend to believe. There's something out there beyond us. And people out there that believe it's demons, not ghosts....i don't think demons would be friendly. I never had any negative experiences, just stuff that OBVIOUSLY wasn't my imagination.

On the contrary, as a JW I was taught that ghosts, or demons as we called them, certainly did exist and could haunt houses and possess people and objects. Only after doing research on field of parapsychology and reinterpreting my own 'paranormal' experiences have I come to the conclusion that such spirit creatures do not exist.

    REM-

Exactly...i was taught to believe in Demons, not ghosts...and i see a DEFINATE difference between the two. I do not even attempt to say i know what happens when we die, i can't possibly even fathom that. However, after so many years of being a witness, there are so many questions in my head about the death issue, but I CAN say I believe in ghosts. So, that kind-of shoots the "no soul" thing down the drain for me.

I'm still researching all the paranormal stuff, but I don't know if i can research it to the point of talking myself out of believing. It's gone the other route...the more i research, the more I believe.
I'm curious, have you ever lived in a situation where you've witnessed paranormal stuff on a day to day basis? Not just a once or twice thing that you can talk yourself into believing it was something else...but, an actual daily occurance..For over 2 years?

Hey Integ. It wasn't my intention to hurt your feelings.
If I did I apologize. (seems I've been doing that a lot lately)

I used to believe in Jehovah. But now I just don't know.
Screwed by society and screwed by religion I just don't know what to believe anymore.
From what I've seen most of the occult can be rationalized as not being occult.
I guess there can be occurrences which cannot be explained by physical law,
but that still does not mean it has to be an occult happening.
It's easy to label something as occult just because we don't understand it.
Who knows maybe you're right. I from my side, I just don't know until it's been proven to me.

Anybody wanna prove that the occult exists?

I know somebody whom I talked to all night. He believes in demons and such,
but not in God. That also puzzles me. Maybe it's the power of our own minds that
influences the things that happen during a seance.

    I just don't know.

btw. I got your 2 pm's. empty. there's no hidden message in there? Is there? lol.

    Andy.
