A funny thing happened on the way to the SuperCuts

    Well, actually, at the SuperCuts.

As the hair-dresser was cutting my hair, we made occasional small-talk. After I mentioned that I was getting married soon, she asked where the wedding would be; and with some embarrassment, I said that it would be at the Kingdom Hall. Later on, I mentioned that I had lived in NY, and she asked: "Were you at Bethel?"

I was surprised that she knew the Witness lingo, so I asked her: "Do you have friends who are Witnesses?" And she said: "Actually, my husband and I disassociated ourselves three years ago."

I immediately told her that Piph and I were doing the fade. It turns out that she used to go to the same congregation Piph and I are attending; Piph remembers her and her husband. She's told all her co-workers about her experience with the JWs, and they were all quite happy that she had found another ex-Witness. We agreed to get together after Piph and I returned from our honeymoon.

She's not online, and had never heard of xjw.Meetup or JWD. And yet the Unholy Spirit still found a way for her to get in touch with other ex-jws for bad association...

Well, for the latest episode of "there's an ex-JW under every rock"...

Piph just found out today that one of her co-worker's husbands is an ex-JW! We met him at a corporate awards ceremony, but he was reticent to let us know, because he just faded away and was never disfellowshipped. But Piph's co-worker told her that "I know what you're going through more than you can imagine", and she's going to see if she can get her husband out of his shell enough to meet up with us sometime.

Who else will turn out to be an ex? Our landlady? The grocery store checker? The neighbor next door? Tune in next week to "Who wants to be an ex-JW acquaintance?"

That's great Euphemuslim (calls the west the great "santini" because "satan" is too harsh).

I'm having a massage this morning givin by a woman who told me, on my third massage with her, that she had been a witness for 34 years. This was after I had talked about my deconversion on the first and second massage, lol. When she got to talking about the elders, the massage got a little rough!

The lard does work in mysterious ways.

    Wow, that is great news.

You must be praying a lot, getting your hours in service and participating in all meetings to be blessed with such an upbuilding experience like that. LOL.

I was in an icky mood until I read your post. It was the splash of water in the face that I needed.

    Thanks for sharing.

If you are doing the 'fade' then how did you get approved to get married in the Kingdom Hall? Don't the elders want you to be spiritually strong before getting married? And pardon me for asking, why would want to get married in the Hall if you are fading anyway??? I would have just had a justice of the peace and at a nice park or wedding center.

What a heartwarming experience, Sister Apostate!

This is evidence that Jehovah is blessing the efforts of Simon and speeding up the deconversion work before the end comes. Yes, he is ungathering the valuable things of the no-part-of-the-nations.
