  One of the study articles keeps repeating how we can make God happy, maybe it's the auto translate but it just sounds so shallow, it really annoyed me.

  Happy is my dog when I rub his belly, or take him for a walk.

  Or is God Happy? One of the 7 dwarfs? Are we yet to meet Bashful, Grumpy and the rest??

  Then it struck me earlier, that Jesus commanded his followers to love God with their whole heart, soul, mind and strength. God wants us to love Him, and he WANTS to receive, to feel, that love.

  Of course His happiness doesn't depend on our behaviour. That portrays Him as a terribly insecure and needy personality.

  The corporation has once again completely undermined and swept aside a fundamental teaching of God and Jesus, central to the entire Bible even, the First Commandment, to love our God with our whole being, so important that Jesus reiterated the vital importance of it for his followers.

  Complete wooshed over the heads of the WT writers.

  Wow!...Lesson Article 33 (page 14) 'How The Congregation Can Imitate Jehovah’s View Of Sinners' reveals just how the WTBTS organization has screwed with millions of people's lives for decades and decades!
  
  After decades and decades (since the 1950s) of disfellowshipping & shunning hundreds of thousands, easily into the millions, of rank & file members & making them wait over a year, then requiring 'wrongdoers' to summit reinstatement letters after reinstatement letters before accepting them back into the fold...finally the WTBTS gets it right!
  
  It took nearly 75 years for WT Leadership Governing Body to realize that the Apostle Paul had instructed the 1st century Corinthian Judicial Committee of older men who disfellowshipped a man for adultery (1 Cor. 5:1-5) to initiate a welcoming back for this man into the congregation only after a few months (2 Cor. 2:5-8) of being disfellowshipped! And get this...the adulter didn't have to take any initiative like groveling and submitting reinstatement requests! The Apostle Paul, in so many words instructed the Judicial Committee to get off their asses & welcome the sinner back with open arms...and only after a few months of discipline mind you!

  They didn't release them officially. They just uploaded them to the content delivery network (hosted in a rented cloud powered by Amazon Web Services). I suppose we will see many more languages coming on Monday. After most of the languages are posted, then will they release the magazine by creating its entry on the main jw.org web site.

  So, no theory that the changes are only affecting certain markets but not most countries? A pity for the conspiracy theorists among us. Such a situation would undoubtedly see the above release being distributed in Norwegian and possibly Japanese.

  As it is, it's obvious that the WT is under pressure over disfellowshipping rules. But when you read between the lines and see what they are still doing and leaving unaddressed, they haven't changed a thing, in any practical sense.

  These changes were already pretty well known months ago. Now that they are being officially announced in the WT, does that mean that the secret elders ' manual will now be amended to reflect the changes? When we were having this discussion months ago, an amended version of the manual came out, but it did not echo these changes.

  I always thought waiting to get reinstated didn't go along with the idea that God is ready to forgive. Well, Looks like God was/is, but the elders liked the power of judging others. As to marking, that will come easy for the judgemental JW. I remember well, before c19, I was often invited to go to lunch with some of the "friends". I was vocal about the jabs not being something God would approve and I never got them. When the lockdowns let up, I heard of the people in the group I used to go with getting together, but I never got another invite. I had been marked because I didn't drink the koolaid.
