Gimmie your best "VALIS" story

After meeting Brother Valis I instantly felt a connection and understanding of beer. He truley is a great leader of the flock.

For those who have had the pleasure of meeting Valis you must have a memorable moment or story that just cracks you up or many! Here's mine that has stuck in my head and a week does not go by when I think about it and crack up laughing!

We were at Dennys eating breakfast and he looks over and says to me..........

Valis----------Brother Beans, are you coming to Dallas next weekend?

Beans-------Whats going on next weekend?

Valis---------(In his thick Texas accent) mmmmmmBEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me, my only meeting with Valis, is via the - and I have enjoyed our conversations.

I will have to make certain that I make it to Texas, as 'we cannot go on meeting like this'.

Well, I've never had the privilege of meeting our dear Overbeer but I think he's wonderful. He always cracks me up and is a big boost to my beeratuality. Even when he tries to reason with me and calls me "woman" he's still very kind.

I haven't had a chance to meet Brother Valis yet, but if he makes it up to Toronto I'll have some of these waiting for him. At 7.1 % alcohol and 1.18 litres, maybe 24 would last an evening.

I know a few things about Valis, even though I have never met him. He was born at a very early age. His family was poor, so he was born at home. When his mother saw him, she was rushed to the hospital. His father was rather tough on him. When Valis was five his father asked him how old he was, and Valis told him that he was five. His father said, Shame one on you, when I was your age I was ten already. Valis had a hard time in first grade because kids were giving him black and blue marks from touching him with a ten foot pole. When Valis was ten, on a cold winter day, he built a fire in the living room. His father came home and was rather upset, because they didn't have a fire place. When Valis was in high school, an elder asked him a quiz question: what word starts with F and ends with K. Well, Valis said the dirty word, and the elder told him that the answer was Firetruck. Valis was promply disfellowshipped for conduct unbecoming a Cristian. Well, that last experience sent our friend out on a new career, which took him to college and a teaching career. Life is good, don't ya think????
