Hi Stinky!
To tell you the truth, with 5 in our family, going to the movies is a budget buster for us, so we don't see the new releases right away.
I don't think I have seen a "good one" for some time. We like the classics, and have been
watching more and more indies lately. They are less predictable, and more interesting.
We watch IFC, and Sundance channels. Plus the oldies on turner classics.
Some of my favorite classics are: To kill a Mockingbird, Niagra, The Bad Seed ( funny ending), and the old horror classics.
Apocolypse Now, The musical "Little Shop of Horrors", "A Streetcar Named Desire",
and anything with Walter Mathau and Jack Lemmon together. (The odd Couple, The Grass Harp,
Grumpy Old men one and two...
Now I am rattling on..So that is my fav list... TY for asking...lol...
Big Bad Love.....rented it a while back and viewed it again this weekend.....think I shall to own it.
mac
Memento is a weird movie but I loved it. I just saw it the other nite on showtime or hbo or one of those. It's a see from the beginning movie, or from the end, or something????
Here are some from my "favorites" page at www.netflix.com -- and these are just the titles I gave 5 stars:
The last best movie I have seen was Underworld! I enjoyed it alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to own it lol!
I plan on seeing Mystic River this weekend.
I watched the Original Japanese edition (German language) of The Ring on DVD last week-end.
Well, that really sent shivers down my spine. And suddenly the phone rang. :-O
The phone rang on me, after I watched the American Version of the Ring.
I have to say, I don't scare at movies, and that thing TERRIFIED me. I'm not sure why. But, I got to the point where i had to leave the room, and peek around the corner to watch it. EEEK!
That's a freaky *** movie.
The original "Candy Man" was the scariest film I ever saw. Back in 1992 I took my girlfriend to the cinema to see the flick. They say if you look into a mirror and say "Candy Man" five times he will appear and kill you. Well my girlfriend was so frightened by the film that she didn't want to be left alone, so I had to spend the night with her.
