That's what I gathered too, SimpleSally: the two JWs were kicked off for being JWs. But I think there's more to it than that, in that they must have made it clear that they were going to argue the JW side.
Their hypocrisy is that these very same JWs refuse to discuss anything with ex-JWs, and will kick anyone off their boards just for being an ex-JW.
