OH, Arrogant bastards! Those sunday talks made me sick. The quality of speakers was mostly poor. JWS think that they are above everything and everyone else. Good grief. Halloween is fun for kids. Harry Potter? The WTS is just jealous at another publisher making the $$$.

Yeah, Mega Man is one of my all time favorite icons. Oops, there I go idol worshipping again.

Repent or face the humiliation of losing your microphone handling privileges!

They get very, very carried away with anything that even hints at magic or 'spritism', and some speakers use the podium as their own little personal soap box. I recall "Ferngully" being a favorite target of some speakers back in the 1980s. Some elders see a glimpse of a movie and right away start railing against it. Ridiculous.

Amnesia is a wonderful thing- allows the WTBTS to not remember the pyrimidology, masonic temple, angel writing and ufo things in their past connected with Russell and/or Rutherford. I lump these things in with spiritism- don't you?

I had a similar experience 2 years ago, it was the last JW meeting I ever went to, sorta the final confirmation that I could no longer stand Tower-world.

This bro gets up there talking about 'education that pleases Jah' or something. So full of himself. He gets on the subject of math, and asks the rhetorical question "how much math should a Christian take?" His answer - "The basics are all you need."

I couldn't believe my ears. Counseling the youths about how much math they should take in school. I just sat there shaking my head. The WT study that day was even worse than that, with the conductor giving half the answers because nobody was raising their hands because the article was so pointless.

For most people, maybe, but we still need engineers and architechs. Last time I checked, they need a helluva lot more than just the basics.

It's amazing how the witnesses are so ready to trash things, yet we need certain people and functions to operate as a society. If everyone had the exact same talents, then we would be screwed.
