I can't stand the guy or his songs. His voice is grating. What's worse, my local radio station plays one of his songs like every 15 minutes, and every other station is either country or classical music. I guess that's one of the downsides to living in a smaller community.

What is with all these obnoxious voiced single artists as of late? Gimme back my alternative rock bands. Play some Green Day, or Nickleback, or 311. Anything but the garbage they are playing now.

Welcome to the real world, Oxnard.

oh god, what have I done? I'm so sorry, but surely you can see how it was not possible for me to resist writing that. surely.

^ ^ ^ he almost seems to be asking "C'mon...How could you hate a guy with a face like this?"

lol nilfun... I think it's the face that bugs me! Or the torturous distortions of same for very little payoff, imo.

Actually I'm ambivalent. He has a bit of genius, but I think his songs could be better in others' throats.

Green Day sounds obnoxious to me. But that's just my opinion.

John Mayer is truly a talented singer-songwriter. No need to bad mouth him just because your taste in music is different to everyone else's.

Dark Knight - I respect other people's opinions, but when a good 20% of the songs played on the radio belong to him, when there are no less than millions of other bands out there, then I have a problem with that.

I want to run through the halls of my high school

I want to scream at the top of my lungs

I just found out there's no such thing as the real world

Just a lie you've got to rise above

My daughter hates his music. I think he's okay, but I'm certainly no fan.

I have met John Mayer and I have a great respect for his song-writing talents and especially his musicianship. He is a exceptionally fine guitarist and a very decent man. Of course there are better, or perhaps more experienced singer/songwriters out there within his genre, but there is no doubt about it, love him or not, he is a very talented young man. I know many seasoned guitarists who pay their due to his fretwork, he is actually a finer guitarist than he sounds, if you get my meaning.

Over-exposure is always a negative thing in the entertainment world. These days art is a commodity and the record companies milk what they have, when they have it and toss away the remains. Ironically it is then, when nobody is interested in what they have to say, that many musicians produce their finest work.

What irks me is the completely talentless generally female teenage clones, wailing and writhing like seagulls, that assualt your eardrums absolutely everywhere. They look the same, sound the same and are the same as each other. Also the Joni Mitchell clones, boy they bug me! Put a guitar into their hands and they feel compelled to tell us absolutely everything about their tiny, boring lives.

HS - I guess that means you don't own any Avril Lavigne albums.

It's also safe to assume that Logansrun doesn't have any Liz Phair.
