There seems to be almost an equal number of men and women who profess to be of the 144000 destined fro heaven.
Does the WT society really believe that, If so why don't they ever depict women in heaven.
Its always men with beards which are an outward sign of rebellion on earth.
It'll be a while before the art department at Bethel catches up to the acceptance modern society has given beards...maybe by 2007, they'll get wise and just feature dudes with goatees.
They actually do feature dudes with goatee's in heaven, they depict the evil angels who forsook the heavens and came to earth as having goatee's..subtle subliminal messages to the masses.
The WTS always depicts those in heaven as males and in the grooming style of the Biblical Jew. Their are pictures of the Bride of Christ as a woman taking Jesus' hand at the wedding day. Otherwise, it is always men.
I sometimes wondered about that when I was a JW - how could it be wrong for a woman to teach in the congregation and yet be ok to rule in heaven? Seems to be inconsistant. Or will the women undergo a sex change when they go to heaven? Sounds stupid to me any way you slice it.
I heard from someone once (so I'm not sure if it's true) that beards are a sign of wisdom and respect in some cultures. Perhaps the WTS discourages the wearing of beards for this reason. On some level, they realize they have no wisdom, and deserve no respect.

that is such a good statement and so true - with all the nonsense they put forward , wt is truly not worthy of any respect.

I most definately disagree with the WTBTS stance on women having the promise of kingship in the heavenly kingdom . I agree it makes no sense that women can't preach from the platform or take a lead in the congregation but yet can expect a role as ruler in heaven . I did voice my opinion when I studied and was demonized for my point of view . Then had to endure some insulting remarks from a bunch of mindless deuche bags .

I discovered something else shocking. I believe Revelation talks about how the 144,000 will be virgins. I brought that up, but the people I study with said that can't be right because they have married people who are part of the 144,000 class.
So they basically said the Bible is full of beans and these people have to be of the 144,000. Why? Because they said so and that's good enough.
