It’s amazing that there is no law against discrimination when it comes to politics.

I yelped him to see how his business was and it has consistently been poor. Most people did not give him a good review. I think he’s just a wacko.

What happens when a gay republican wants a muslim baker to bake a cake with a cartoon of mohammed + the NRA logo on it ...

Yes, it's a joke, but if you can't figure it out it demonstrates that things are wrong and not being done based on clear principles or sound reasoning but just the actors involved.

A baker should be allowed to refuse to make a specific cake for anyone, for whatever reason they damn well like. That is their right.

A baker shouldn't be able to refuse to sell something they have in their store to someone who is a regular customer. That is discrimination.

A person working in a government position shouldn't be able to refuse service to someone based on their own beliefs - if you can't do that job, go get yourself a different one.

    MINIMUS:

I’m not registered and didn’t vote in the last election. I wonder what this guy would think if he looked at me?

If somebody is well-dressed and takes pride in their appearance, does this mean they look like a Republican?🙄

This nonsense in the US has really gotten out of control.

There's a similar trend in the UK, although I haven't yet come across someone being barred from a shop because of their political beliefs.

There have been cases on FB of people being unfriended over the EU referendum.

I checked some guy's FB page right after our last general election. I knew him when we were kids, up until about 12 or 13. He actually posted a request for either all his friends who had voted Tory to unfriend him, or to let him know so that he could unfriend them.

    Crazy ...

The only person I unfriended made a disparaging remark about my teeth when I updated my FB page.I’m not particularly vain, but wondered what kind of person I had accepted to associate with. He had a history of being rude to people about their looks. Usuallly really shallow or petty things. I can’t remember how I know him so I unfriended him. I don’t need unremitting negativity popping up at my actual friends. Disagree with me, but treat people respectfully.

Similarly, I don’t care to financially support jerks, even if I share their politics/philosophy/sexual proclivities generally.

But that’s just me. Jerks don’t get my support, however they lean, hang or vote. It’s a lot simpler to tell who is a jerk than who is Jw, Jewish, Muslim, atheist, Catholic, trans, Republican, Democrat, gay, straight whatever.

People who depend on customers and employees need to get a clue.

LOL! Republican is a race now according to you!

About the OP: Interestingly, and for some bizarre reason that I fail to find, some people have mistaken me for a conservative republican. I have no clue as to why that is. People really establish judgement based on whatever is in their mind and makes sense to them. Doesn't give them the right to disrespect people, nor to violate the law, but all of us establish judgement one way or another. I mean, some people think that republican is a race. WTF can you say to that?
