My wife and I are in the process of moving. Long story short (writing another thread about it) the mother in law is best off if she moves with us. Rather than appreciating the fact that we are building a whole room apart from the house just for her, she instead threatens to stay behind instead of moving with us. Unless, off course, my wife returns to meetings.
This throws a wrench in a lot of things. Moving expenses already committed, career paths, etc.
Talk about blackmailing

A true family will love you no matter what and will never leave you. The majority of JWs don't have loving families. As only horrible person won't talk to a parent or a child depending on their religious views. I only wish a lot of courage to people who can't leave the Organisation because they know their family will turn their back on them. I know a couple of people myself who are trapped. I hope these people will become brave and not to be afraid to make the step. Bevause if their family truly loves them they won't stop interacting.

My sisters recently brought to my attention that the are going to miss me in the paradise. I just replied that big J will remove their recollections about me in the paradise so no big deal, actually they won't remember that the used to have a brother, I find it so stupid and funny haha. Truly JW families suck!!

Yeah, I had a sister who I considered a friend before the big friendship freeze of 2015/16 turn up at the front door to give me a photo of me (just me mind you not the both of us as she took the pic!?!) taken at a cafe after witnessing one sat morn. She just said she thought I might like it (like my life couldn't go on without it???) handed it to me and walked away as she was refusing my offers of coming in, a cup of tea etc. She didn't want to talk to me just give me a photo of myself out witnesssing.
I thought wtf was that all about!

I am really disturbed by some methods that JW family members try and use to emotionally manipulate us back into the organization.
Yes they are some truly disturbing ones, one that comes to mind is of a situation which happened to one of the members here Flipper.
His daughter who is still in sent him a message that she is pregnant and what shame it is that he wont be around to see her grow up.
Cold hearted and cruel vindictiveness to the max.
Flipper may want to explain more of what happened.
There are many more situations as well but it does bare to keep in mind the length of brainwashed indoctrination the JWS are in and why which involves its members showing their steadfast devotion to the organization and Jehovah as it may be.
