An old expression "***t or get off the pot".
That reminded me of what I was told when studying. It went like this.........." You can't keep sitting on the fence. Either you believe and want to become a JW or you don't."

Scoob: I agree w Talesin; you stick around and fart all you want. This is not the line for the women's room at the convention. There's no pressure and you don't need to get off the pot until you are d*mned good and ready.
This board is like TV. Sometimes there's some amazing stuff on, other times it truly is a "vast wasteland" (there's an old quote). The thing I've noticed is, it's cyclical. Stick around for awhile and it changes. Some days the content is largely profound. That's followed by mounds of fluff. To you newbies out there who want to wade thru the fluff to get to the good stuff: Note that the pages are numbered and posts are archived in chronological order. Click on a small number some time and take a look at where this all started. It's like finding the special collections room in the library.
There are many books in this library. You cannot read them all, nor should you. It pays to be discerning both here and elsewhere in your life.
And, Scoob: As an elder currently struggling with his place in the universe, my advice to you is keep studying. The truth will set you free.

Yep, we even have some sports programming here. And occasional reruns.
Very good points made willyloman.
Ah, I can see a point when you won't see Shamus here anymore... will get bored of it after a while. Just wondering when...
If you are wondering if this forum is healthy, try having it with a balanced breakfast... it can be quite healthy! Good health to you!
Why does someone have to stop posting if they want to "move on"?
I left donkeys years ago. This site cleared a few cobwebs for me and I've pretty well said most of what I want to say. Now I come here to socialise, discuss and debate, often about matters that are nothing to do with JW's.
I've also met close to 60 people from here and want to stay in touch with them also.
