..Great job. She is hearing just what she needs to know. Thank goodness you are there to point it out to her. Keep up the good work.

bebu, good work. It is amazing what the heart and mind can accomplish, your love and knowledge.
Let us know what happens.

Yes Bliss I recall your thread too, and it was similar. Good job there too.
Once again, love conquers all.
By the way, the list of nominees for "Best Witness of the Year" just got longer. Keep up the good work, y'all.
A wonderful experience.
Thanks for sharing.

I really appreciate your comments. The whole reason I ended up here on the JWD, as I've mentioned in the past, was to come to understand the mindset of those in, and the experiences and information that led them out, all because I met my friend. I've learned more than I expected, esp. about the SHABBY treatment of the disfellowshiped--and of course, those pesky scandals.
I have a very good feeling about the next time we meet, whenever that will be. Like I said, I feel the biggest connection we share is an ardent desire to follow God at the core. I just hope she can see that the WT just re-routes people from their goal.
Bliss, yes, I read your recent wonderful story. This, and other stories have inspired me so much. (Czar posted one recently.) I thank everyone who has shared those moments where they see the hint of light dawning. They are my favorite posts to read.

Thanks for sharing that with us Bebu. You are a good friend to her, and suprisingly enough, she sounds like a good friend to you. If she ever does leave the WT, I can't tell you how much of a godsend you will be to her. I can't tell you because I don't believe in god, lol. j/k sorta. Seriously, though, your friendship will be a beacon for her if she ever reconsiders her religious views.
God Bless You, Bebu:
Someone once said "LOVE is truth...all the rest is commentary." I believe that. Although you and I would disagree on some doctrines, I immediately felt a Christian bond to you when I read you comments. The Bible is simply not a definitive work on doctrines. So, when Christians read it they can come to different conclusions. Someday, God will reveal the "truth" to all of us. In the mean time, Christ is enough truth for all us.
When I was a JW, I loved hearing the "good experiences" at the conventions. It ranked number two behind the dramas. (Come to think of it those were the only things I liked about the parts on the conventions.)
Now that I am on the other side I love the reading about good experiences here. Your's is one of the best. Thanks for uplifting me!
