HOW THE HELL DO I GET RID OF POST-NASAL DRIP????!!!! I'M DROWNING IN MY OWN SNOT, IT'S GROSS, IT REALLY REALLY IS EWWWWWWWWWWW!!! I HAVE SNOT GOING DOWN MY THROAT ALL DAY ALL NIGHT, I SOUND LIKE DISS ON DA PHONE BECAUSE I'M SO CONGESTED, MY ALLERGIES ARE DRIVING ME NUTS!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are two over the counter remedies that will dry you up quickly. NyQuil liquid,
and alcaZelser Plus.
They are "cold remedies" but the point is, they dry up the EEEEWWWWWW!!

I had that. I used a nasal rinse with distilled water and dissolved salt. There are commercial systems. Otherwise a neat temporary fix is to put kleenes plugs up your nose. Gross!
Most allergist will tell you to start with Sudafed to dry up the nose. Take it round the clock, everyday.
Also, to keep the sinuses moist and draining, instead of clogging and bacteria growing, get some normal saline nasal spray (Ocean Spray is a brand name, but generic is just as good). Use as directed on the bottle.

I, too, have a cold and am suffering.
I can't stand it.. my nose hurts! I'm all stuffed up, too. DAMM COLDS!
You MUST blow your nose and stop snorting! OK?
It's amazing how much freaking snot we produce when we have a cold. And yes, that annoying drip into the throat, which keeps me awake when I have a cold. I have used throat spray to numb it and that helps me to keep from continuously swallowing when the back of my throat gets irritated or that drip makes me cough/gag.
