I think what the writer was pointing out was that the word "annointed" can be translated as "messiahs" or "christs"...all having the basic meaning of annointed ones. The Watchtower does teach that there are only 144,000 of "annointed ones." This is not to be confused with Christ as "the annointed one" or "the Messiah."

Exactly my same thoughts. Iam glad someone else besides myself saw the connection of the meaning of how he was referring to the 144,000. Much of the Watchtowers dates and theology was pretty well disproved also. I really appreciate your understanding of the same material.
