I knew of 2 people that cheated on their spouses and were literally despised by all in the congregation and especially a few elders. They were told that to get reinstated, they'd have to go to a different nearby Hall because they created such stress in the congregation. Well, they decided to come to the Hall anyway but were quickly approached by 2 elders on the JC committee. They were threatened that if they did not leave, they were going to call the police, because they were not welcomed. Personally, I thought this was shameful conduct from the elders but I was outvoted on this emotional issue. It took 3 years before they got reinstated and they visited the congregation after that, only to recieve cold stares and glares.

I have actually morbidly thought about this before. Since I have apparently successfully faded, I would not go back to my old hall. I would instead go to any one of the halls in the Seattle area.
I'd bring my German WT literature and play the part of a German tourist. My partner in crime would be an awesomely fabulous drag queen.

i could go to a hall here it might be fun since i grew up 3000 miles away...... act like i didn't know what was going on and then bust out some amazingly complicated question that no one could answer because i would tell them that they could only use the bible *SHOCK*to answer it..... they won't know what to do..... <lol> and then i would walk out laughing

I would be ignored if it was the hall where I got the "Troof". They would avoid me like the plague... except for one or two nosey B***tches...

At my old hall, it would be the same old nonsense... oh hi... bla bla bla bla bla... oh, we missed you so much... and I would just ask them why they didn't bother to call me.

    Would I ever go back?

Not unless I would want to cause trouble. And no, I don't.

Not haveing been a witness I have allways done the wrong thing so Ive found out after the event. The last time I went I sat next to the lady I was studying with and was told by her not to sit with her as the elders may think she was haveing an affair with her. I still dont understand that one. After all she would come to my house alone and I thought we were good friends.

The other time I done the wrong thing was on the occasion of the memorial when I told my minister I was invited to the witness memorial and I asked him If he would like to come with me. Ross the pastor thought about it and after a while decided to come along. Ross got on well with the elders so I thought everything seemed to go well and it was a very pleasent evening. Then before we left the bloke who had invited me there said in a very stern voice 'why did you bring him' He never spoke to me again about spiritual things.

So to answer youre question I dunno if I would now be considered as some sort of trouble maker but in all honesty I didnt mean it. Barry

with or without a gun, just kidding

it would be interesting, don't know what would happen, but i have decided when my parents pass on I will not be attending their funeral, oh i will go to the site and the funeral home, just will not set foot in the kingdom hall again, that's just me.

I guess the question could also be, what would happen if you walked in to a Tim Horton's on Saturday morning, only the Canadians will understand this. Popular Coffee/Donut shops in Canada.

Oh, I do understand that one... them and they're coffee breaks. A cause of endless emberassement for me. Let's all, like 40 people, walk into the food court of a mall all at once and have coffee... jeez, we're not making a public spectacle of ourselves, are we?

I refused to go out to coffee at the local food court. I would let everyone know that who was with my group, and they all agreed all the time... it was a shameful spectacle that you need to experience to believe.

Of course, we know that wouldn't have happened if it was a pedophile! I know from personal experience. Blondie
