Oh yeah , I thought it was just a phase I was going thru. I have all my life loved to dance and when I was a kid going to the roller skating rink was the big thing..........the lights, the music, ahhhhh the memories.

Well, JW life took on center stage as a young adult, then babies , my life was so boring I thought I was gonna die. I craved,,,,,,yes , I craved the night life.......... I wanted to sneak to one of the clubs and just dance. But I knew what a sin that would be , so I just watched videos, and dreamed of it.

When we left the borg,,,,,,,,,we went to our first really big night club,,,,,,,,,, I was hooked. The loud music,,,,,,,,the people , I love to watch people of all kinds, the clothes, the dance, getting to know some of them etc. The drinks were great, I tried many , until I found my favorite........whiskey sours.

We started playing pool and I am now addicted to that,,,,,,,not that great but I am getting there. My hubby is sooooooo much better and I hate him when he wins, which is most of the time......hehe. I am very competative.

The first time I started dancing in front of people I was so scared,,,,,,,,,but I downed a few more drinks , and some of us girls just went out there and turned loose,,,,,,,,,,, I didnt know I could dance like I did, and the next day , I can say I was a little embarrassed at my own dance moves. My hubby told me I did really good and to not be ashamed , I didnt have anything to be ashamed of,,,,,,,,,,I guess those oldJW condemn yourself thoughts . Well I got over that soon enough, and I havent stopped dancing since.

I have arthritis in my feet mainly, have since I was a child and I know one day, my days of dancing will be over , or at least slowed down......I think I will find a way to dance even if I am in a wheelchair,,,,I have seen a few at our club who do actually. I just want to do what I can while my body is young enough to still let me.

I used to think I would be young forever,,,,,,,,,,,wonder who put that in my head, could it be Satan..... I mean JW???? Well there is plenty of time for porch swinging , and rocking chair rockin',,,,,,,,, I do enjoy that also from time to time.

Eccl. 3:4......."A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to DANCE."

This is my time to dance,,,,,,,,,,,,I encourage all that can to go out and have fun while we can, we were robbed of so much as JW's, weither it be dancing, art, music, or any dream we had, that we gave away,,,,,,,,we should all recapture what was lost to us.

    * interesting, when I tried to find this scripture, i used the NWT, jw bible cause I couldnt find it anywhere on the computer,,,,,,,,, I go and find the big giant, and I mean huge family King James version of the bible and got that quote above.......... the JW bible replaces , the word DANCE, with SKIP ABOUT......interesting, huh???just another little word they change . To dance might give you more self expression than to "skip about". JW controlling even in a word. *

Whenever I used to go to a witness gathering or wedding, I would always just sort of hang out in the background, occasionally talking to someone but never really joining in. Generally I just sort of felt disconnected from everyone, like I didn't belong. Of course, part of that is probably just my personality...

Uh, yeah, I can party when I'm in the mood. Put it this way, a couple years ago I was partying with some friends at a ski cabin and at the end of the night I was wearing underwear on my head, being tackled by a bunch of girls. Somehow said underwear (not sure who's it was... was it mine?) got launched off the back balcony where there was an awful lot of hurling going on. So, when there is enough alchohol in me I really lose my inhibitions.

Did I forget to mention that this was all with a bunch of married witness couples?

But usually I'm pretty mellow. Just depends on the crowd.

I like parties but not too big. I like to think that I would like to be able to talk to everyone a little bit, 10 minutes or so. I don't like parties where everyone gets wasted and throws up on the carpet or furniture or tries to drive home that way. I had 200 at my reception and that was difficult. I said hi to all of them and I doubt I could remember 20 by the end of the night. I'm usually the person at the piano, the human karaoke machine.

I like having a good time. I am all for that, but I don't find clubs fun, or big parties where everyone is dancing, getting drunk, etc. I see raves on tv etc, and I think to myself, that is supposed to be fun??

Never appealed to me. Again, I want to have a good time, but I can think of many other ways to do that.

totally depends on my mood.. I am a people person and love to party, but I also like my private time. So like I said.. depends on my mood!

It depends on my mood too. I used to party a lot, but calmed down for a while. When I go out now I tend to go to places where we can sit around, chat, and have a laugh. But in the last month or so I've been out a few times where I've been hogging the dance floor all night, and got home sometime after dawn. Looks like I'm geting the party bug again, whens the next apostafest!
