No problem Travis. We're not going anywhere this weekend. We've got your camera, and your book (don't tell Sheila!).

    Take care.

    Hi Scoob,

I have only posted here for a short time but I have lurked for over a year. Believe me when I tell you that you will be missed by many persons on this board.Your being here, in my opinion added a lot to the board. I hope you will drop in now and again just to let us know how things are working out for you.

Going back to try again must be your decision alone.I am sure you struggled with this decision for a long time.None of us can tell you what is right for you.No matter what the final outcome is I wish you all the best in what you decide.

    Poz.

We've had a few run ins in the past, personally I have no idea why you want to go back, ask yourself do you really believe in what there are teaching ???????

You do what is best for you, and no one else,

Time is on our side, I know you will be back here, eventually, and when you do come back, I hope many can learn from your experience, and not do the same mistake.

This sounds to be more on the emotional level than anything else. So, there isn't really much to say. You gotta do what you gotta do.

    Hi ScoobySnax,

I must say that although I've never really spoken to you personally, it does alarm me to see this happening.

All I ask you to remember as you sit there, listening to the Chief Sales Representative of your Congregation delivering a pre-digested meal of "spiritual food" is this:

How many of the "millions who will never die" are still alive today?

    Hmmm?

I honestly don't understand how someone could do something like this, but if there's one thing I truly believe in as a matter of principle, it is that people should have choice to do what they want with their lives.

It's just such a pity that the Watchtower will absolutely not give you any choice whatsoever. Remember, if you can't question them, it's almost certain that they're in control of your life, and you. Don't become their prisoner again!

    Scoob,

Why are you going back? Likely its because they tell you that if you don't you are *not spiritual enough*. Well that is total rubbish! I've met more truly spiritual people since leaving the JWs than I ever did when I was in it.

You may not feel 100% happy being out of the JWs and you may think that going back will make you happy. That too is false - JWs are often very depressed, the only time JWs are happy is when they're first baptised and they're still blinded to the reality. As soon as normal JW life sinks in, they're guilt-ridden and fed up mostly. Believe me, once you've made the difficult transition of leaving, then you'll find out what true unconditional happiness is.

    Blessings

Hey Scoobysnax, I did the same thing at least three times. Once before I was baptized and twice after. Each time I went back, I decided I am really going to give it my all, attend the meetings, go out in service, study ahead, ect. After the third time I had learned so much about the dark side of the Jehovah's Witnesses, I knew I could never go back. The only thing I had to face was could I be distroyed at armageddon? After reading what the society said about 1975, one year before my birth, I knew there was nothing for me to fear. It is just another cultish religion, nothing more.

But everybody JW has to decide this for themself.
